Gary Crabbe’s Summary

Gary Crabbe spent nearly a decade managing the Stock Photo department at Mountain Light Photography for world-famous photographer Galen Rowell. He is extremely well versed in image licensing sales models, especially of Right Managed photograpy, including the negotiating of publishing and agency contacts. He is also familiar with both editorial and commercial assignment photography requirements, digital asset management, color management, production workflow issues, and client-side concerns.

He started Enlightened Images in 1993 to handle the sale of his personal photography. His client and publication credits currently include the National Geographic Society, TIME Magazine, New York Times, Forbes Magazine, The North Face, Sunset, L.L. Bean, Subaru, Victoria's Secret, Pacific Gas & Electric, The Nature Conservancy, & The Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

He has five books to his credit, with four that are coffee-table format; including The California Coast (2001) which won "Book-of-the-Year 2002" by the California Outdoor Travel Writers Association. Our San Francisco (2003). Yosemite & The Eastern Sierra (2004). Backroads of the California Wine Country (2006). Backroads of the California Coast (2009) He is just starting his sixth book project.
