Gary Barber’s Summary
I’m a freelance interaction designer, information architect, front end designer/developer. I have been honing my craft on the web since 1995. I have designed and developed moderate to large scale websites and intranets during this time period. My design and development approaches focusing on rapid iterative development lifecycles.
I have an enthusiasm for the use of industry best practice (“web standards”), holistic usability and accessibility with the application of user centred design methodology within all of my projects.
I blessed with having a flair for interface design from the base structure to complete front end development. I can if required code in the back end as well. However this area is not where my passion lies. It’s the User Experience and the people interaction with the interface that fascinates me.
I have a deep belief in mentoring people for the good of the community. Any spare time is professionally given back to the community via the Australian Web Industry Association and various user groups.
