Board Member and Digital Leader
I am inspired by the transformative nature of the social web. As a Digital Strategist, I combine design thinking with data analytics to make sense of human behavior. Then I work with teams to unearth opportunities, solve problems, develop strategies and implement solutions.
Thought-leaders who have influenced my thinking include Peter Drucker, Malcolm Gladwell, Susan Kane, Eric Ries, Jason Fried,Tim Brown, Jeff Jarvis, Simon Sinek, Nate Silver, Paul Adams and Richard Florida. In addition to reading their books I also enjoy watching their fireside chats online.
On a personal note, I grew up in Spanish Town, Jamaica where I learned about business and politics from my Dad, and the importance of having empathy for others from my Mother.
Led development and launch of the new AdFed website. Aligned the efforts of a talented 14 person team. Worked to build consensus and develop a culture of collaboration. Worked to ensure that the right decision makers were in the right seats, increasing efficiency and decreasing conflict.
Today I help other team members move their digital initiatives forward efficiently and solve problems when they arise. Ongoing responsibilities include: Content strategy and scheduling with the communications team; Measuring and improvement of results; Recruiting thought- leaders for the blog; Maintaining the website with the team at Software For Good; Focusing the team on membership engagement.
In my role I oversee the programming efforts and initiatives of the In-House Designers, UX Designers, and Solopreneurs committees. I help ensure that programs and initiatives generated for the benefit of these segments are developed in the Chapter’s best interests, offer benefits including inspirational, educational, and networking opportunities to members, are open to all members, are sustainably produced and within budget.
I collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital strategies that integrate web design, social media, content development and search engine marketing -- within the context of traditional brand marketing. My methods included design thinking, social graph analysis, consensus building, and co-creation of integrated digital tools.
Clients included: AT&T, Comito Associates, Quest Diagnostics: Employer Solutions, ExamOne and Blueprint for Wellness
I helped with the archiving of the CoCo story. I did this by helping to curate its social ecosystem and photography.
At PUNY my role included developing a PUNY specific approach to social media. This included creating the action steps needed to successfully launch a kid's brand on the social web in consideration of COPPA and industry best practices.
My primary role at dblthink was to set and oversee our company's long-term direction. This included: day to day operations, business development and the identification of strategic partnerships.
My role at CoCo was to manage the day-to-day operations of the space and to ensure the environment remained conducive to collaboration and idea generation. This included connecting guests, coordinating event logistics, managing inventory, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Clients included: Medtronic, Northern Tool + Equipment, Fairview Health Services
