I have had extensive experience developing one of the first and most widely-used software packages in computer-aided drug design, AutoDock. My educational background is in chemistry and computational chemistry, and I am passionate about understanding science in general, and living systems in particular. I am fascinated by the interface between computer science and molecular biology, and am driven to apply my understanding ultimately to benefit humanity. I have also had extensive experience in distributed or 'grid' computing, having co-founded the first biomedical grid computing project FightAIDS@Home back in September 2000.
Computational Chemistry, with an emphasis on Molecular Docking; some lecturing; Software Design and Development, particularly AutoDock, using OOAD and SODA to develop future versions.
