Gareth Young’s Summary

For 15 years through 2006 at BellSouth I was responsible for developing and executing business expansion and rationalization strategies through M&A, partnerships, and other corporate and commercial transactions. I helped businesses identify strategic needs, establish priorities and plans, and execute on their plans. Where alliances, acquisitions, or divestitures were required, I established search criteria, screened and selected candidates, and staffed and led teams to negotiate, execute and close transactions.

In 2006 I founded finanSight which has served small/medium businesses and startups for four years and helped them drive growth, improved financial performance, enhanced cashflow, and value creation with a variety of niche services.

My 2009 accomplishments are: publishing my first novel, The Grace of Guilt; going to South Africa on vacation with my Dad; and running my business successfully and profitably through the financial storm.

    Gareth's Novels

    (Writing and Editing industry)

    20032008 (5 years )

I have several novels published and soon to be published:

    - The Grace of Guilt, published 3/09 (on Amazon and Kindle) is set in a radically fundamentalist community in the rural South. It follows the destruction of three families and their quests for redemption, and examines the old prejudice of the new South.

    - Banana Split Baby, scheduled for publication in the first half of 2010, follows the destruction of a middle aged man's life when he receives a large inheritance, quits a boring job, and is torn apart by the forces of sexual puritanism and prurience that coexist in uncomfortable and sometimes fierce competition in modern America.

Other works in progress include a futuristic thriller and a non-fiction book under the working title, "Meditation must Work."
