Reiki is a form of spiritual practice used as a complementary therapy for the treatment of physical, emotional, and mental diseases.
The name Reiki derives from the Japanese pronunciation of two japanese characters that describe the energy itself: ' rei' (meaning 'God's Wisdom' or 'the Higher Power') and ki (Chinese qi or chi, here meaning 'energy' or 'life force'). In English, the meaning of Reiki is often given as 'universal life energy' or 'spiritually guided life force energy'.
The Usui/Tibetan Reiki is a school of Reiki that added a number of techniques to its system, such as using crystals, guides, healing attunements, as well as various "Tibetan" symbols. -
