He has advised numerous companies such as Asia Pacific Breweries, Amex, Cerebos Pacific, DHL, Dow Chemical, Henkel, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, LaFarge, Standard Chartered and Visa.

Gabriel was instrumental in establishing the regional information and knowledge hub at Fusion Consulting (now Global Intelligence Alliance). He also headed the regional knowledge centre at Synovate Business Consulting. His previous roles included managing regional qualitative and quantitative research programmes at British American Tobacco, leading the customer satisfaction research team at ACNielsen Research (Singapore), and shepherding a team of regional business information analysts at Finland-based Esmerk Information Services.

Gabriel holds a MSc (Information Studies) from the Nanyang Technological University and a BSc (Economics) from the University of London. He has also obtained the Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) status, conferred by the Asia Marketing Federation.
