Since 1996 I have been responsible of the entire application development, maintenance, infrastructure, telecommunications (voice and data), IT security and Data Management areas
I manage the relationships with external vendors in the context of Pfizer’s high reliance on outsourcing, and managed the largest part of the BT department’s 10 million € budget.
In this role I currently coordinate a staff of around 7 projects managers and indirectly 60 external consultants employed both on projects and ongoing services.
I manage the relationships with Pfizer’s international teams for the areas of my responsibility. I am a member of Pfizer’s European Application Architecture Community, which has the objective of addressing the selection and the integration of new application platforms, in order to support the company’s aims of standardisation and globalisation.
I am responsible for the company’s IT infrastructure (30 Unix servers, 30 Intel servers, 2 SAN, an IBM backup library), delivering services to about 3000 users (1000 campus and 2000 remote). In this capacity I also am responsible for IT Security and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
Integration of a large pharmaceutical multinational company in terms of different processes and systems, outsourcing processes, Sap platform, Siebel platform , Data Warehouse environment, BPR and organizational projects, CRM systems, Internet strategy for the pharmaceutical market, SOX and security management, Infrastructure and telecomms management, VOIP and mobile phone services.
