Frank S. Adamo, a communications coach, international trainer/instructor, speaker and published author, is known to his friends as Francesco, the Godfather of Practical Reasoning. He feared speaking to an audience, not for years, but for decades. He's made every excuse not to speak and experienced every symptom of the fear. He now considers himself the foremost authority on the fear of public speaking.
Lacking self confidence in his earlier years, Frank has discovered his inner strength and now comes with his own unique perspective and understanding found nowhere else. He offers individual and group coaching sessions and a series of workshops on effective communications and presentation skills. A techie (with an M.S. Degree in analytical chemistry), Frank specializes in working with technical professionals and simplifying technical documentations; and his passion is to help others transcend their fears of speaking in front of audiences.
He has been successful, but not nearly as successful as he could have been if he had the communications and presentation skills he now has. His first book, "31 Tips to becoming an Effective Presenter," has been well received and a self-published version is available on his Web site at: http://www.fsadamo.com/shop/index.htm for only $10.00 (includes shipping and CA tax). His published version (as a printed copy, audio and e-book) will be available in bookstores after Oct. 7; however it is now available on his Website $10.99 SRP plus CA tax and shipping. THe earlier version is still available for a short time at ($10.00 - flat fee which includes CA tax and shipment).

As a Certified Career Coach, Frank is available to assist those in career transition. Not only is he a career coach, he has transitioned from one career to another during his working years (see below for his past employment information). After losing his long-term clients, he transitioned into being a communication coach, trainer, author, speaker, and now a certified career coach.
Though he is knowledgeable in all functions of career coaching, Frank specializes in people skills, particularly for those who have been working for many years. He feels there is not enough emphasis in people skills while transitioning to a new career including oral and written communications, team playing, confidence buiilding and other skills.

Frank designs, but more importantly, he improves PowerPoint presentations.
Font colors should complement -- not contrast -- with the background. Do not use red fonts on a blue background.
Add key points -- not text -- to the slides. If the text is not read -- who reads it? The audience and that's where the presenter losses the audience. Don't add a bunch of text to a slide.
Fancy animation, sounds and whistles are usually a distraction. Also, the presenter, not the slides, should be the center of attention.
PowerPoint shouldn't drive the presentation. The presenters should be the center of attention.
These are just a few samples of distractive and ineffective ways in which PowerPoint is used. It takes time, forethought and basic reasoning to design an effective presentation.
Frank has the experience and knowledge to design and enhance an existing PowerPoint slide show and coach the presenter on effective presentation skills.

I used to have interests in stamp and coin collecting, L.A. Lakers and various other sports, and camping. However, most of my interests is in learning more about communication skills. I listen to many motivational speakers, Toastmasters World Champions of Public Speaking, and more. It's interesting that I'm so much involved with communication, motivational and inspirational values now, because I had absolutely no interest in these before. I am also more vocal about God. Though I am a Catholic, I was raised in the Christian denomination. Regardless of how we worship God (as a Christian, Catholic, Jew Hindu, Muslim or however), I believe there is only one God and I believe in putting God first in my life. I have a speech on "God is my co-Pilot?" based on a 1940s movie of the same name, but without the question mark.
