I own and operate Serious Strength Personal Training Studios which is a private, by appointment only, one on one Slow Burn personal training studio.

We focus on strength training exclusively using my Slow Burn system of training. No aerobics or stretching are required (though the workout is very cardiovascular). You need only train twice weekly for 20 minutes at each session for optimal results in strength gains and fat loss.

I co-founded/created (along with David Menche M.D.) and ran this unique physical therapy/personal training business for almost 3 years. My idea was to not just treat the affected body part, but to strength train a patients entire body in half the time of traditional physical therapy.

Unfortunately, the physical therapists were constantly abusing their authority and often refused to acknowledge the importance of total body strengthening no matter how hard I tried to educate them. I have to say for the time I spent at Metro, I was shocked and dismayed by their lack of scope. Scary indeed.

So I opened my own studio and have been running it for over a decade quite successfully.

    Adolescent obesity is at an all time high. The current hypothesis that too much fat and too little activity is the root cause is not correct.

    The answer is too much total carbohydrate, too little fat intake. Lack of exercise has nothing to do with obesity.

    Strength training is also shown to be the single most productive form of exercise for both kids and adults. As little as 30 total minutes a week is all that it takes to greatly improve your health and body shape. It is very safe and productive for kids ages 8+ years.
