VoIP, Network Engineer
Greater Detroit Area
After working a city job in Florida, Fred Posner fell into the technological world of web hosting, systems administration, and network engineering. Like many before him, Fred was tasked with running the company’s VoIP solution. After working with solutions such as Acme Packet, Broadsoft, Cisco, and others, Fred discovered Asterisk and quickly embraced the open source approach to telecommunication. A large (yes, it’s a fat joke) proponent of Asterisk and OpenSER, Fred currently provides networking / VoIP consultation services through Team Forrest. Fred loves eggs, long walks in the rain, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. If you’d like to contact Fred, please do so through www.qxork.com.
"When I was young, I loved telephones. I’d take them apart, play with them, and always loved working with them. Broadsoft tried to kill my love, but Asterisk quickly brought it back. I still love working with telephone communication and helping others with their phone system needs."
