  • Senior Project Engineer

    Honeywell Security & Custom Electronics

    (Consumer Electronics industry)

    January 1996June 2006 (10 years 6 months)

Designed consumer product circuitry for mass production. Developed high-tech, wireless, low-powered sensing devices used for home and industrial security and for home automation applications. Invented new and original product ideas and developed Intellectual Property for Honeywell, including multiple patent applications (one patent granted and the others currently pending). Expert in the design of low-power, high-gain sensor circuitry. These were used for economical production of large-scale commercial products in that they reduced the component count of the products. Proficient in highly accurate and precise temperature sensing instrumentation, and developed a wireless heat detector. Invented, designed and developed a wireless frost, heat, freezer, refrigerator and flood sensor. This item replaced a single function device at a savings of 40% of the previous manufacturing cost. It is explained in detail on the internet at the following

  • Consultant

    Space Systems Loral

(Public Company; 1001-5000 employees; Defense & Space industry)

    September 1995June 1996 (10 months)

Participated on the ATARS camera system. Performed Built In Test (BIT) analysis, troubleshooting and critical review of existing digital/analog designs. Identified design deficiencies through statistical data-analysis modeling techniques. Wrote specification for a 256 mega-pixel reconnaissance camera system. Reverse-engineered and created block diagrams for a complex video system. Participated in a proposal team (TARS camera system) for an electro-optical sensor sys-tem, obtaining a development contract for the target product.

  • Chief Engineer, East Meadow Operation

    Hameg Instruments GmbH

    (Consumer Electronics industry)

    January 1994January 1995 (1 year 1 month)

Ran NY division of large test equipment company. Wrote catalog and data sheet text. Developed printer interface for 1GHz spectrum analyzer. Analyzed product failure modes for design improvement.

  • Senior Engineer

Norden Systems, div of United Technologies (now Northrup Grumman)

    (Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing industry)

    January 1978June 1992 (14 years 6 months)

Designed Digital Signal Processing (DSP) circuitry for sonar acoustic intercept (AN/WLR-9, AL/WLR-12, BQQ5, BQQ6). This electronics processed sonar signals and differentiated between enemy submarines and marine crustaceans and mammals.

Designed digital data trap used to capture acoustic signals from audio tape. Was responsible for locating obsolete components as well as new components such as hybrids and ASICs.

  • Principal Engineer

    Telephonics Corporation

(Public Company; Aviation & Aerospace industry)

    January 1975January 1978 (3 years 1 month)

Lead circuit design engineer for the Advanced Systems IR&D group, developing fast turn around circuit/system designs, proposals and new business activities. Was responsible for the development of a digital stereo entertainment system used in commercial airliners. Designed communication control electronics and displays. Performed analog and digital circuit/system designs for proposals and developed the hardware upon contract award. As a result of writing a winning proposal, the company received a contract from IBM valued at well over $50M. Designed and developed a MIL-STD-1553 data interface.

  • Chief Engineer

    Quantum Sensing, Inc

    (Semiconductors industry)

    January 1970January 1975 (5 years 1 month)

Developed custom circuitry for optoelectronic devices. Designed and fabricated custom phototransistor sorting and test equipment. Supervised staff in building an automatic gasket sorting machine and a motor speed control based on optical scanning.

  • Engineer

    Hartman Systems

    (Consumer Electronics industry)

    19691970 (1 year )

Developed digital circuitry for the S-3A's Sonobouy release system. Performed an analysis and computer simulation for Power Up Reset in a complex multi-level power supply system.

  • Engineer, PRD Division

    Harris Corporation

(Public Company; 10,001 or more employees; HRS; Defense & Space industry)

    January 1967January 1968 (1 year 1 month)

Designed the Buffer Control Unit (BCU) for the Versatile Avionics System Test (VAST). Selected a line of digital logic that was used in all designs done by the company. Worked on a sub-nano-second pulse generator and developed a high speed decade divider module used in a frequency synthesizer.

  • Engineer

    Fairchild Space and Defense Systems

    (Defense & Space industry)

    June 1964January 1968 (3 years 8 months)
