Senior Manager - Sales
Cologne Area, Germany
My job consists of developping high added value products business with European customers.
I Manage a team of “Key Account Managers” with whom I roll-out necessary activities :
1/ Business Development
I identify market and customer needs, I differentiate my company with a “Unique Selling Proposition”, I organise some promotional events.
2/ Sales Strategy
I lead strategic planning process.
3/ Sales and Sales Administration
I negotiate price and contracts for engineering and products. I coordinate my customers’ sales administration.
I particulary enjoy 2 aspects of my job :
1/ understand my customer needs and then tailor a specific customer solution while preserving my company interests. To succeed this challenge, an active listening and own maturity is absolutely necessary in order to make innovative propositions. Knowledge of own limits is also a key point.
2/ understand market needs and forces in order to influence strategy and company positioning statement. I believe strong analysis and abstraction capabilities are key factors of success to build and support a strategy.
I share my free time with my familly, my friends, sport (I run approx 10 Km per week), and internet.
I blog (in French) on management and business :
