Originally from Kentwood, Louisiana, Freddie Rick began his career in the network marketing business. After a couple of early bad investment experiences where he literally made and lost hunderds of thousands of dollars in the stock market, Freddie realized that he had to work hard to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to build a trading strategy that would work for him personally, one that would allow him to achieve his own specific financial goals.

Freddie read every book he could find on trading, went to every course he could attend. It was a great idea with great potential: Learn to trade from people who know how, who have a solid track record, who can teach you the specific things you need to know so that you have the best tools possible to create a trading style that works best for you.

In fact, it was such a great idea that Freddie and his wife, Mitzi, founded BetterTrades™ (Long Term - Short Term, Inc) in 1998, a company dedicated to teaching individuals how to trade in the stock market. With a dynamic and highly qualified faculty comprised of some of the top traders in the country, BetterTrades has the curriculum in place to teach every facet of trading, for both long term and short term financial goals.

Recently, BetterTrades has introduced the next and perhaps most important generation of its teaching courses, Wealth Preservation. The Wealth Preservation Kit includes an intense live 3-day event called Asset Protection Academy, specifically designed to teach students how to protect and grow the income they earn in the stock market.
