Peter Smets’s Summary

Experienced designer, engineer, administrator and support professional of :

- Microsoft software platform (AD, Exchange, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Clustering, ...) with basic knowledge of other platforms and providing connectivity to them from the Microsoft platform using various technologies (DFS, NFS, Telnet, ICA, ...)

- Citrix Metaframe / Presentation Server handling all versions from v1.0 on NT4 Terminal Services to MPS4 on Windows Server 2003.

- VMWare ESX Server having completed several migration projectes from physical hardware to virtualized environments, using VMotion.


Demoscener since 1991 active on Amiga, C64 and PC. Currently a member of Smash Designs on C64 and Drifters on Amiga. Currently responsible for the C64 competitions on Breakpoint, largest demoscene party in the world held annually in the german town of Bingen am Rhein, and 'Oldskool' competitions (C64 & Amiga) on The Ultimate Meeting, held every year in the south of Germany between Christmas and newyear.

    I'm mostly involved in concert photography at the venues in Leuven (Het Depot, STUK) yet other topics and happenings in town are also covered when requested or just for fun.

In 2000 went back to C64 organizing both the Role Party and the first 2 editions of Primary Star after organizing 2 editions of the "Belgian Scene Event" (BSE for short) a couple of Amiga-only parties..

    Currently Oldskool Organizer at The Ultimate Meeting since 2004 and C64 Organizer at Breakpoint since 2005.
