Francis Vincent Co’s Summary
Better known as Cisco, Francis Co is on his last stretch of college years at De La Salle University in Manila. He is taking up his Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Communications Technology Management. He works on a thesis on fixed assets management, which aims to solve the identified problems of a particular government-owned and controlled corporation through a prototype information system.
Francis has been active in student organizations in his high school and college years. In high school, he has been an elected student council officer for four years. In his fourth year, he was elected as the president of the student council. Subsequently, he was also elected vice president in the Federation of Student Governments of Makati and Child City Mayor of Makati. Often described by his peers as jack of all trades, he was also debater, parliamentarian, and members of the robotics team and IT Core Group. He graduated with honors and numerous special awards in high school.
College life has become easy for him since he studied in a science high school with strenuous schedule and vigorous lifestyle. At De La Salle University, he remained active in student activities and organizations. He has been at the forefront of student rights and welfare as he participated in the highest student policy making body in the university. He has also led pro-country and pro-citizen advocacies during his term as chairman of the National Affairs Committee.
Writing is his passion. In his high school paper, he was a news editor for one year, then a managing editor for another year. In college, he became an associate editor in their college newspaper. He won division, regional and national competitions in writing, particularly in news writing. Today, he remains spirited and energetic in writing, whether technical, creative or informative.
