Media Mentoring Societies (MMS)
MMS Membership enables current and future entrepreneurs and business owners to expand and leverage their footprint onto the newest media technologies, whether for themselves and their existing businesses or, if they see fit, to provide such high-end services for others.
At MMS, you can actually see, participate, interact and create most of what we're talking and discussing with strategic partners and amongst ourselves towards building/creating/establishing a valid and authoritative "Certification Path" in Media Technologies (sm)
Levels include Professional Media Specialist (sm) and Professional Media Mentors (sm) Certifications
Certifications for Specialists require both approved and standardized academic work at local institutions; as well as the completion of a Pragmatic Leadership (sm) and Networking Activism (sm) Practicum
Certifications for Mentors include above as well as a series of Business Development Practicum meant to not only monetize their efforts, but to build a Case Study archive that can not only be shared and reference by Members, but also serve as a repository of Business Ideas that members can cross reference and build together upon in myriad localities.
All of the above do imply a Business/Commercial interest, yet, tied to Giving Back to the Community, Volunteering, being an Activist Networker, and overall, really exploting the so-called "Social" aspects of this new media spectrum - and how it can also be tied back to many existing disciplines as they extend themselves into these spheres.
Please stop by and chime in, as we also have "Crowd Sourcing" (a.k.a. "Wisdom of The Masses") as yet another cornerstone of our Foundational Principles.
Yours truly,
Francisco Jose Palacio

Our initial Meetup.Com Group:
http://www.meetup.com/MediaMentoringSociety/
...is meant to be emulated by others in their own communities as we develop the Concept of Media Mentoring Societies.
They are comprised by those whose lives are supported, impacted, affected and otherwise modified and enhanced by the current Media revolution that brings not only a convergence into Social Media and Social Networking platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN, YouTube, Plaxo, etc) today, but also brings about tectonic shifts into the models of established businesses such as Print Journalism, Television and Radio.
Our pledge to our members is to facilitate sharing our common knowledge (a.k.a. "CrowdSourcing") via proven methods such as those we see as members of existing organizations such as PADI, Toastmasters, BNI, our Chambers of Commerce, etc.
We hope to raise awareness also about the need to share and facilitate amongst ourselves the access to the newer tools, as they hold the key to both economic productivity as well as personal, leadership and business development.
Stay tuned as we announce a Certification Path, developed along local Higher Education Institutions, towards helping those who see these activities as their professional endeavors, and are wishing to have a governing body, with proven and verifiable standards, help them validate their knowledge and experience...
That said... Welcome!

All towards advancing in the developing field of Social Media, based on the principles set forth by Dr. Gregory Berry in his groundbreaking piece about CMAC (Computer Mediated Asynchronous Communication) and other classics such as Toffler's "Future Shock", "The Third Wave" and "PowerShift", as well as "Megatrends 2000", Peter's "The Pursuit of Excellence", etc.

Fortunately, thanks to GE's superb HR policies, I was able to conduct some serious and well-researched honing, learning, preparing and overall refreshing of my entire Outlook on my Career through the excellent, unsurpassed outplacement services offered at the local Right Management offices in Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.
Their deep dives into one's personal assessment and inventorying of skills, proclivities and development areas, has definitely helped me better focus and proactively target the areas with not only the closest fit, but also, the best ratio between Revenues and Professional Satisfaction.
Also, thanks to its forward-looking stance, I was able to further expand the skills needed to more effectively network, thanks to its comprehensive Course Curriculum, readying him for the next step in his career growth.
The Outplacement Support lent by Right Management eventually led to my decision to launch both Media Mentoring Society, Inc (MMS) and CMAC-Labs, Inc, as startups in the nascent industry, towards developing and collaborating in the creation of viable and valuable Certifications for those already involved, or those looking to get involved in these fields.
