Enterprise software consultant, architect, and program manager. Interested in SOA, Cloud Computing, and Web x.0 technologies with special emphasis on security, data management, end-user experience.
I consider myself to be, what the Agile folks call, a Generalized Specialist. I like to identify patterns, and abstract problems to the point that I can find parallel patterns in other problem spaces to replicate solutions. Software to me is art in need of more science.
Current work interests include building world class software, development teams, startups, and helping organizations turn existing development projects around. I enjoy creating development organizations that are built to last, focusing on team cohesion, long term sustainability, and product market vision. I am passionate about non-functional requirements, metrics, and continuous improvement through quantitative analyses.
