    Authored for them "Teleselling Techniques that Close the Sale" in 1997. Taught sales and telesales classes for a period of three years. I also developed three courses for AMA, rewriting there telephone sales class and developing their original Time & Territory Management course. I also wrote a leadership class for executive sales managers.

    This was a Penoyer Communications consulting engagement.

    As interim (part-time) sales manager I was responsible for the sales success of a group of six reps. I redefined the sales strategy and message, developed and documented a formal sales process, then trained the group in the use of that strategy and sales skills.

    In the first 30 days the groups sales run rate double and by month three it had increased 285%.

  • Manager of Retail Sales

    19851986 (1 year )

    Manged a group of of six inside salespeople calling on the reseller channel. We sold mice and bundled software. Increased sales revenues from $620K to over $2M in just 9 months.

  • Telemarketing Manager

    Memorex

    (Public Company; Computer Hardware industry)

    19841986 (2 years )

    Developed and set up a lead generation group that handled all inbound inquires for the terminal products group. This group prequalified all inbound inquires and then sent them to the field. This group was responsible for the opening of some very significant accounts.

    Managed a software telesales group that sold a printing solution for main frame computers that allowed users to control their own documents.

    Consistently exceeded all objectives of my position. (18 months)

  • Inside Sales Manager

    Dysan Corporation

    (Computer Hardware industry)

    19831984 (1 year )

    Was responsible for the training and education of a remote group of about 18 telesales people who sold floppy disks to the retail and end-user channels.

    I provided support materials and assistance to the field reps who directly managed these people. (18 months)
