Lead Architect, Web Applications at Language Weaver
Greater Los Angeles Area
After graduating from Cornell University with a B.S. and Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science, I joined Intel Corporation in 1997 as part of the Rotation Engineers Program. My time at Intel was split between working on a software validation team for the Intel 740 team as part of the Graphics Components Division and working on graphics software optimization for computer games within the Developer Relations Group.
Near the end of 1998, I decided to make a jump into the Internet space by joining DoubleClick Inc. headquartered in New York City. During my five-plus years at DoubleClick, I was a member of the DART Adserving team responsible for the ad data aggregation and delivery system known internally as "Pusher". I was also instrumental in creating a system to easily distribute and propagate creatives from a single location to multiple datacenters around the globe.
In 2003, I decided to join Language Weaver, Inc - a pioneer in the field of statistical machine translation. During my time here, my roles have spanned from being a Senior Software Engineer to Director of Data Engineering to my current role of Lead Architect. Some of my major accomplishments here at LW include:
* Principle Investigator for several government projects
* Lead developer for the LW TM Generator application
* Lead developer of Kontrib.com
* Currently Architect and lead developer for Translation On Demand - LW's first SaaS based Translation Solution
During my spare time, I own and operate an online media publication called Krunker Media. You can read some of my musings and thoughts on several blogs including Krunker.com, NetbookTech.com, and ZuneSphere.com.
I have a wide spectrum of interests - everything from software development, to product development, to entrepreneurial/business ideas to writing! Feel free to drop me !
