Transportation Networks Engineer
Trieste Area, Italy
I'm working as Indipendent Civil Engineeer on several projects about road networks capacity and design in Italy. Moreover I'm currently developing some websites of Civil Enginnering Societies.
+++
My research activity is related to transportation network robustness by means of physical complex networks algorithms. I have developed a tool to analyse the vulnerability of such systems, under different spatio - temporal constraints.
+++
I'm looking to extend the approach to several situations; the model has been tested on Berlin Trasport Network with good results. The physical approach could be extended to urban flow nets, railway stations tracks layout, and more.

Development of my Ph.D. project "time=net.work" and website (www.timenetwork.org). The main purpose of the research project is to find out the relashionships between complex systems and transportation networks, as well as the most critical parts of the system according to topology and services. The first test case is the Berlin Transportation Network (current).

Modellization of several railway lines and timetables scenarios by means of the Microsimulation Software 'Opentrack'. Analyses of timetables on the same line and evaluation of the circulation in case of failures. Analysis of the railway node of Trieste and of the Merano - Malles railway line in Südtirol.
+++
Modellation and simulation of different hypothesis and scenarios of the Tramway network of Trieste using Opentrack. The microsimulation model captured both the existing line services and six different lines in the neighbors and in the city center. Results are able to define different strategies and economical scenarios of the expansion plans, related to fixed and forecast demand flows.
