Research and Development Consultant
Melbourne Area, Australia
Ph.D. in Computer Sciences (2009) from Utrecht University, in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, researching on models for the development of intelligent mobile services.
In addition, 17 years of experience in the IT industry with extensive background in innovation and system engineering for mobile services and messaging systems.
Research interests
(i) Artificial intelligence: Interested in agent-based models for the development of applications that operate better in highly dynamic environments and situations that require multiple levels of interactions and involve constraint resources.
(ii) Computational Social Science: Interested in the areas of agent organisations and agent simulations. Looking into the impact of social networking and social structures on intelligent services. Moreover, interested in issues of large multi-agent simulation required for this field of research. Objective: to progressively elaborate and refine new architectures, and develop prototype software implementations of simulation environments in this area.
(iii) Distributed Computing: Interested on the application of this research for issues in distributed computing and mobile computing. In specific, the utilisation of agent-based models and organisation theory for the elaboration of new models of distributed computing towards the structures for intelligent system management.
(iv) Mobile Computing: Interested in intelligent personal assistants, recommender systems, and solutions to "real world" problems, e.g. low-cost mHealth solutions and other ways to contribute to developing communities.
(i) Experience in developing innovative solutions, facing the challenges associated with leading large innovation project, and multidisciplinary groups
(ii) Experience in project writing and tender response preparation for large product developments
(ii) System Design, Requirement Analysis, Solution Definition, Architecture, and Integration.
(iii) Training preparation and training delivery.
(iv) Software programming in Java, PERL, Visual Basic, and C++.
