Francis D’Addario is an Emeritus Faculty member for the Security Executive Council. His security teams have set private sector benchmarks for security improvements, including violence reduction, profit contribution, and engagement at Starbucks Coffee, Hardees Food Systems, Jerrico Inc, and the Southland Corporation.
He is a Certified Protection Professional, Fraud Examiner, and Community Emergency Responder. In addition to an undergraduate degree in Police Administration his studies included Forensic Sciences (George Washington University), Investigative Hypnosis (Texas A&M), and FBI Citizen's Academy.
Francis' publications include 'Loss Prevention through Crime Analysis', 'The Managers Violence Survival Guide', and Not A Moment to Lose…Influencing Global Security One Community at a Time'. He co-designed 'LossVision' loss reporting, investigations, and asset recovery software program; and 'Safe and Sound', an interactive ‘workplace violence’ training curriculum marketed by Learning Dynamics. His programs have been covered by CNN, CSO Magazine, Security Management Magazine, The Conference Board Review Magazine; as well as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
He co-chaired the business committee for ‘Three Projects/One Community’, a $29 million capital campaign to provide West Seattle with permanently affordable facilities for food, social services, low income housing, and the arts. He has served on project teams for the International Standardization Organization (ISO) and the US Department of Justice.
Francis is the recipient of the CSO 2007 Compass for protection innovation, the National Food Service Security Council’s Lifetime Achievement, Spirit of Starbucks and Jerrico Inc.’s Key Manager of the Year awards.
