I am a highly motivated individual with valuable Systems experience focused on implementing practices, procedures and systems that increase organizational functionality.
Recently, I designed an enterprise Information Architecture in conjunction with a roll-out of WebSphere portal and the associated web content management system. I lead the company's business units through a paradigm shift from the current IS/IT-centered content model to one based upon business needs and requirements. In the recent past, I implemented Lotus Sametime within the enterprise, instituting instant messaging and web conferencing functionality within the organization .
In other positions, I have lead the effort to build and design corporate Intranets and internet presences. Other various part-time consulting opportunities have allowed me to help smaller organizations build an effective web presence.

Defined technology strategy for critical immediate needs as well as a three year projection of what should be considered and implemented to increase business functionality. Presented strategic plan to Principle and acquired funding for immediate needs portion of the plan. This strategic initiative moves the company forward and allows us to look into systematized content/knowledge management solutions, to increase employee effectiveness and to build internal community.
Working with internal business units to define and improve workflow processes to gain better efficiency and lower the cost of doing business. A more formal approach to workflow allows employees to understand their roles better and to take ownership of their phases of the work.
Established an intranet utilizing available technologies on hand to support a collaborative environment and to increase employee engagement. To date roughly two-thirds of the company have requested and have been given author access to the Intranet. This initial phase of community building utilizes OSX, Apache, Wordpress and MySQL.
Investigated various email solutions to move the company forward. Currently in the process of migrating from Exchange and heading to Google Apps for email and calendar access. This move allows the company to reduce the current costs associated with email while adding functionality that was not available through Exchange.
Managing relationship with external technology partner company so they can assist the company in its forward progress. Finding better ways to employ this partner to provide necessary services while maintaining current cost structure. Improved communications with partner company so we are in alignment for future business.
