User Experience Architect
San Francisco Bay Area
I'm a user experience architect recognized for my ability to bring focus and simplicity to design problems in a variety of mediums.
Originally an architecture enthusiast and print/layout designer, I moved into the technology world during my time at the University of Pennsylvania where I majored in Digital Media Design, a small interdisciplinary computer graphics engineering program aimed at strengthening communication between technology and art. There, I extensively explored web design and development independently, growing a small web design team and clientele in the process, and took an active role in bringing new focus on design to my academic departments.
I've worked both as a web interaction designer and iPhone user experience evangelist at Apple and have since been an independent design director, collaborating with several companies on iPhone and web application design as well as user experience strategy.
As a result of a very broad and well-rounded experience, I look at design in the big picture and take a very objective, "pure" approach. I involve myself in projects where I can challenge convention, incite change and invoke new ways of thinking.
