Fabrizio Bartolomucci’s Summary
His working experience spans through 20 years of information technology mostly on the front-line. This includes tackling AI and logic programming when those technologies seemed to be the gate to a mechanical brain: his university dissertation was on the topic of higher order logical programming with a prolog implementation. Later Object oriented programing came to the fore and he followed suite, been involved in a number of Esprit Projects on the subject of easier access to online services long before the web appeared. As expected when mosaic and the first web servers appeared he promptly developed a prototype web service in 1993 on his LC Macintosh computer that resulted to be the first non-academical web site in Italy. Later he collaborated to the first Ferrari, and Italian Yellow Pages and the project for the online navigation of the castle of Bari.
In 1995 he collaborated to the development of the Artnet Italia web site that once peeked to 500.000 hits per month in presenting Italian art to the net before being involved in the blast of the .net bubble.
Later he became employed in Telecom Italia's front company established for the development of value added telecom services in view of the forseen merging with AT&T.
When this project was scraped he moved out of the telecom industry to take the role of ICT manager in an exceptionally backward industrial company by providing it with single user email (!), internal document sharing and storage, switched network support, Wan, secure report provision to clients, server backup, and several workflows spanning from helpdesk support, printer cartridge management, provision and dismission of assets, shipment management and others. In its role he also took part in the successful security certification of the company according to the BS7799 standard by personally authoring a quite massive amount of procedures.
He is fluent in Italian, English, French and is currently studying German (Goethe, A2/1).
