Senior Frontend Developer/Web Developer
Venice Area, Italy
I'm a professionist focused on web development and on continuous personal improvement of my knowledges. I'm very keen on frontend coding but I'm also experienced with server side technologies and I like very much studying new program languages (like Ruby or Python)
Since 2003 I've achieved several skills about web development
On Client Side:
- Markup coding (crossbrowser and XHTML 1.0 valid) with special regard of the semantic content and the SEO principal issues (clean code, ready for optimization);
- CSS coding (mastering hacks, workarounds, pure CSS approach when possible, and conditional comments for serving different styles on IE, older versions);
- Unobtrusive ECMAscript/Javascript extreme coding using OOP paradigm (via prototypal inheritance), AJAX requests, responsive applications, DOM manipulation, general optimization and best practices. Knowledge of Google maps API and Mootools framework;
- General interest concerning usability and accessibility issues.
On Server Side:
- PHP 5 coding using OOP approach for simple/medium complexity projects, dealing with MYSQL databases and server side common techniques (like url rewriting, compressed contents, tables optimization...);
- XML Stylesheet Language Transformation (XSLT) past experience;
- Basic knowledge of Symfony/PHP and Django/Python (learning in progress);
- Overview of several important design patterns (MVC, chain, IOC, factory, iterator, ...).
Client side (XHTML, XML, CSS, ECMAscript/Javascript)
Server side (PHP, MySQL)
Semantic code, seo issues, OOP, AJAX, Google maps API, Mootools, accessibility, usability, SQL, Symfony, design patterns, SVN.

July 2005 — Present (3 years 1 month)
Main activity of my current job is to create clean strict XHTML 1.0, CSS and Javascript templates, starting from mockups
I sometimes design and realize full-working websites from scratch in PHP5 and MySQL also with custom Control Management System (CMS) for simple contents update.
Since 2006 I've worked, with great satisfaction, for important customers like Telecom Italia, Virgilio, Illy, Diesel.
Laurea magistrale, Informatics, 1998 — 2004
Ragioneria/Accountability 1993 — 1998
I'm keen on outdoor running, reading books (about travels, ethics, phylosophics) and playing guitar. I also enjoy challenging (and solving) tridimensional gained puzzles made in wood and I always have a couple of them on my desk at work :) Because of my personality I'm really interested in informatic sciences and mathematics in general, so in my spare time I'm used to reading a lot of documentation, scientific literature and essays. I'd really like learning dansk or swedish language. (if you can help me, please contact me)
