IP Convergence, Unified Communications and Collaboration Technologies at IBM Global Services
Milan Area, Italy
I want to be a focal point in Digital Communication area, mixing together creativity, alignment with business and technical competences.
I have matured the idea of a “Digital Nervous System” able to spread informations between people, processes and customers. That's why I'm working on Communication and Collaboration Technologies and Social Computing.
The only way to face the ever-changing competitive scenario is wiring together people and making them communicate easily : when everything changes rapidly, the key of success is how fast you can communicate the change.
I'm currently working as an ICT developer, able to design Solution and Architectures. I gained experiences and skills in different areas of ICT such as System Administration (both linux and microsoft), Software and web development (Java, PHP and basic .NET) and converged/integrated business communications (VoIP, IM, UC2). I'm interested in ICT strategy and optimization, human-computer interaction and mainly in digital communication/new media development. I worked in different sectors, such as SMB, Communication, Finance and healthcare.

Entry IT Architect on IP Convergence, Unified Communication and Collaboration, Mobility and wireless, System Integration
I'm working on networking architectures for Unified Communications (such as Cisco AVVID, CUCM, Unified Videoconferencing) along with deep dives into protocols specifications (SIP, SCCP, H.323, H.320, H.263, H.264).
Diving into details I'm focused on integration matters using well known Software technologies (WS/SOAP, XML, OOP) to couple eterogeneous systems such as LDAPs, Domino Servers, MS Active Directories to networking/communication equipment.

System Administration, Web design and ICT consulting in SMB sector

Dissertation titled: "Reengeneering of IBM Italy Unified Communications and Collaboration Services Portfolio: a framework-based approach".
102/110 , Computer Science, Digital Communication , 2000 — 2004
thesis title: "dynamic adaptation of internet-based services for mobile devices".
I developed a XML/WebServices-based architecture for asynchronous signalling of user status parameters variations. The big picture was to adapt a service (such as a video streamer) to the actual conditions of the user (such as lighting conditions, battery level and so on) dynamically.
The whole architeture is based on Java EE, EJB and Apache AXIS WS framework and meant to run on a standard J2EE container (in the laboratory we used JBOSS).
