Professional consultant & trainer, Free technologies & IT Security advocate

I started my first IT business back in 1985 during my high school years and have been involved with IT and communications ever since. I've been coaching and helping many businesses and organizations, as well as individuals, currently focusing on security and free technologies (software, open formats, etc.). I frequently present at conferences or provide training on such subjects.
I am a firm believer security and open technologies use should be the responsibility of individuals first, then organizations that would empower or help them to do so.
I currently work full-time for Canonical, while still collaborating in free, open source software projects.
* IT & security projects planning and coaching
* Migration from proprietary IT (including Microsoft) to open systems, focusing on Gnu/Linux and FOSS (Ubuntu Linux, Mozilla, OpenOffice.org, etc)
* Speaking at conferences about security & open technologies, training
(FOSS stands for Free, Libre Open Source Software.)
Free technologies, free software, open specifications, open formats, personal security, cryptography, operating systems, Linux, online content management
