I am a mindfulness meditation-based psychotherapist, educator, consultant, and author. I founded Exquisite Mind in 2001 as a consultation service for individuals (Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy), the community, health care and other professionals, and corporations, and golfers. Exquisite Mind teaches mindfulness, the art and skill of living in the present, as a vehicle for managing stress, improving performance, and enhancing the quality of life. Exquisite Mind is the natural outgrowth of my 25 years of self-development (meditation and yoga) and clinical practice. Exquisite Mind’s corporate focus stems from my former ten-year involvement with the PKC Corporation as a behavioral health content developer for this revolutionary medical software company. The mission of Exquisite Mind is to bring mindfulness to every health care provider in the state of Vermont, to train individuals at corporations and law firms, and to provide training for members of the local community in groups and individually. Teaching golfers how to minimize frustration and maximize enjoyment of the game is Exquisite Mind's latest adventure. I have also been teaching for the Department of Psychology at the University of Vermont since 2005, including an upper level course on mindfulness.
My book: "Wild Chickens and Petty Tyrants: 108 Metaphors for Mindfulness" was released by Wisdom Publications in April 2009. My work integrates mindfulness meditation into health care interventions, education, corporate and sports consultation.

Golf, at its core, is a psychological game. Allowing the mind to be disruptive during play can be the source of both frustration and poor performance. Mindfulness is a learnable that can help to train the mind to be focused and attentive to the task at hand, whether that is hitting a big drive, a little chip, or a putt for par. I teach groups at the Links at Lang Farm and am available to travel to your course to do specialized programs and retreats.
