Evan Lowenstein's Summary
- I'm a people person.
- I love to create. A picture, a song, a marketing plan, a company.
- I love to win. And I've had a lot of experience doing so. But i'm not a jerk about it.
- I give WAY more than I take. A real team player.
- I don't just believe that you can attract more bees with honey. I live it. (I'm a part time beekeeper. That was a joke, albeit a bad one.)
The boring version:
Recently named to Digital Media Wire’s list of 25 Execs to Watch in Digital Entertainment, Evan Lowenstein launched StageIt with the goal of creating a Web-based platform that would empower artists to deliver and monetize interactive live experiences. While overseeing all aspects of this groundbreaking company as CEO, Lowenstein relies on his nearly 20 years of experience in the music industry as a recording artist, award-winning writer and executive.
Most recently, Lowenstein founded and served as President of HookUp Feed, a premier social networking and mobile marketing company whose clients include The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, American Airlines, Domino’s Pizza and Cold Stone Creamery. Lowenstein still remains involved with the company as a senior advisor.
Previously, he hosted USA Network’s Character Road Trip, a weekly series providing viewers with a peek into the greatest "characters" the country has to offer. Lowenstein was also a recording and touring artist with pop/rock band Evan and Jaron who scored three Top 40 hits, including the Top 10 song Crazy For This Girl.

Stageit is a new, Web-based platform created for artists by artists that empowers them to deliver and monetize interactive live experiences directly from their laptop. Offering intimacy and direct interaction with fans, Stageit gives artists the opportunity to offer unique online fan experiences that will not be archived or duplicated for distribution.
Stageit enables artists to choose when they want to perform, for how long and how much they want to charge. Additionally, artists can receive instant feedback on their performance via the Tip Jar feature, which allows fans to tip artists in real time. The platform also greatly complements and activates other traditional and digital promotional and networking tools artists are already using.
Stageit was launched in March 2011 by CEO and music industry veteran Evan Lowenstein, who enjoys nearly 20 years of experience as a recording artist, award-winning writer and executive. Artists who have used Stageit include Jimmy Buffett, Jake Owen, Collbie Calliat, Jason Mraz, Lisa Loeb, Plain White T’s, Kate Voegel, Crosby Stills & Nash and KORN.
Stageit is headquartered in Hollywood, CA.

Evan Lowenstein's Skills & Expertise
Evan Lowenstein's Education
Various
Journalism, History of Cinema
I graduated high school at 17 and then spent the following 2 years studying in Israel (where I also learned to play guitar).
Upon my return, I decided to defer from college for "one year" to pursue a music career with my brother. Two years later we were discovered by JIMMY BUFFETT (see "Evan and Jaron" above).
Over the years I've visited many colleges. Performed at most of them, lectured at many (including: USC, Emory Business, Belmont, UCLA) and took a few courses at some.
I've yet to finish college and therefore remain a college kid which allows me to be fresh with my thinking and constantly come up with youthful ideas. I've also tried using this "college kid" tactic to get money from my parents but it has yet to work. So it's definitely not fool proof.
