Eric Vanderburg is a Christian who has been working in IT for the past 11 years as a Manager, Engineer, Web Developer, Information Systems and Security Architect, Teacher, and Network Administrator in the US and Japan.
Eric is a creative thinker with a security mindset and global perspective born out of his international and business experience. Eric is passionate about technology and the work he does. He leverages his technical expertise and business understanding to develop optimal business and technical solutions for clients and stakeholders. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a high level of enthusiasm to all projects he undertakes and consistently achieves or exceeds goals.
In addition to working as the Network Operations Manager at JurInnov and an Adjunct Professor of Computer Information Systems at LCCC, Eric is the owner of Interview Excellence and the Treasurer for Calvary Community Church. He also presents at seminars and colleges and publishes IT and business related magazine articles.
Eric is a continual learner and an active member of the academic community. He is on the board of advisors at Vatterott College and has assisted the ACCSCT accreditation commission as an occupational specialist consultant. Eric holds over 15 certifications and he mentors others in their efforts to obtain certifications through his work as moderator of the CWNP, MCT, and MCDBA user groups.
Eric is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Information Assurance. He is researching information security corporate culture so that companies can be more aware of cultural elements that promote and inhibit security initiatives and how their culture can adapt to enhance its information security competencies. Eric is also a member of many professional groups including the ACM, NEOSA, NOITR, and FBI InfraGard.
