Eugene joined Dell in July 2005 as a Pricing and Profitability Manager for the Enterprise and the Relationship lines of business in Dell’s Asset Recovery Business. ARB is responsible for selling all product lines returned in the Americas. This role had P/L responsibility focused on pricing-to-market continuously-variable inventory. Secondary responsibilities included working with telesales, online and operations teams to drive the business.
In 2006 Eugene became a Brand Manager for ARB, initially managing the Enterprise products and then the Relationship systems. As a Brand Manager, Eugene performed not-only the work of a Pricing and Profitability manager, but also promotional and online marketing as-well as developing relationships within other internal segments at Dell. Eugene’s highest-impact work was to push the Outlet to a non-strikethrough discount Every Day Low Pricing.
Before joining Dell in Marketing, Eugene completed his MBA in Finance and Strategy at the University of Rochester’s Simon Graduate School of Business. Eugene has an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California that he had leveraged to develop solid skills in information technology. Over eight years he grew from basic system management, to high performance enterprise and datacenter support, to security and networks, and then to databases at EDS and engineering at a unique B2B strategic sourcing startup called Zeborg.
