Tyler Kovacs and I founded Zvents to be the "local search engine for what to do." In our fourth year of operations, we've got hundreds of partners, real revenue, rapid growth, great employees, venture backing, and sweet offices. It's been a great ride thus far.

Rich Melmon, Hiroshi Menjo, and I founded NetService Ventures in 2002 to seed invest in startups and provide strategy consulting services to major multinationals - two highly complementary activities. Since then, the firm has established a star-studded client list on the advisory side and an increasingly star-studded portfolio on the startup side. I am on leave from full-time duties at NSV while I work full-time as CEO of Zvents (which was seed funded by NSV) but I maintain an ongoing involvement with the firm's investment activities.
