Ed Roberts is a multi-talented professional and connector with experience in broadcasting, IT, and is a well known and respected member of the social media and podcasting community. Ed received his degree in meteorology from Valparaiso University and spent 4 1/2 years as a broadcast meteorologist. He launched LRC Weather, LLC in 2008 and has continued to develop and pursue both the business side of weather and the research side with the LRC theory.
His Kansas City Weather podcast was honored with a Podcast Peer Award as being the best regional-themed podcast, and currently has more shows produced than all but one show since the advent of podcasting. His two music podcasts have garnered acclaim from new media professionals, musicians, and listeners worldwide. Ed has been a presenter at podcasting conferences nationwide and frequently offers his advice to people interested in podcasting and new media.
Ed founded and serves as the active President and lead organizer of the Kansas City chapter of Social Media Club. This group that has seen growth to over 700 members in a little over a year.
While continuing to grow LRC Weather, Ed is searching for a new employment opportunity that will tie in both his computer support experience and social media community management experience. Ideal Kansas City area companies include Sprint and Garmin.
