CEO Fabric Interactive
Greater Los Angeles Area
Since I came to the US from Norway in 1995, I've started three companies and helped raise equity for four ventures. During the first dot-com boom, I founded and raised seed capital for Studystar – a Facebook for international students. The company failed to take off, but the lessons I learned led to Fabric Interactive – a successful interactive shop with offices in Los Angeles and New York.
As CEO of Fabric, I've closed millions in sales and headed up more than 100 interactive marketing projects. Fabric clients include IKEA, Porsche, Subaru, JC Penney, Yahoo!, Kelloggs, Nintendo, and Hachette Filipacchi Media.
Always up for a challenge, my team at Fabric has executed effective marketing campaigns for under-dog brands and taken start-up ideas from napkin to product in less than six months.
In addition to Fabric, I'm the Co-Founder of Viking Digital Media and Recommention, a universal recommendation engine due to launch in October 2009.
I got my B.A. in Media and Communications from the University of Oregon and I'm a semi-frequent speaker on Internet marketing at the University of California Los Angeles. I live in Echo Park, Los Angeles, with my wife and son.
