While Danish companies are focused on their own expanding markets, and near Eastern European markets, our Scandinavian neighbors are investing billions in distant emerging markets. Economical growth, free trade agreements, tax reforms and improving infrastructure has made Latin America an appealing market, and should for the next coming years attract and become more accessible for foreign investments.
Therefore the time is now for Danish companies to get a share of the new growth opportunities. With 550 million inhabitants in the region, and a fast growing number of people with same purchasing power as European consumers (approx. 100 million), Latin America possesses an enormous economical potential for the future. The countries demand high-quality and fair-priced industrial products and know-how for extraction and processing of resources within agriculture, environment, oil and gas. Likewise there is a huge potential for Danish investments in IT, telecom, construction and the health sector.
