Actor (SAG/AEA/AFTRA) and Career/Audition Coach for Actors
Greater New York City Area
Acting Goals & Bio:
I'm the spunky and resourceful girl-next-door who fights for what's right with an ambassador's fervor. I love to laugh, and I poke fun at myself on a regular basis. Who am I compared to (in look and sensibility?) Naomi Watts, Amy Adams, Mary Louise Parker, Sarah Paulson, to name a few.
I was raised in San Diego and had my first juicy stage role at the age of 9 (as the Gander in "Charlotte's Web"), and followed my passion to Pepperdine University, where I received my BA in Theatre (Acting) and was honored with the Mary Pickford Scholarship.
I've landed several recurring roles on the hit TV series' "Veronica Mars" & "One Life to Live" as well as leading roles in indie features and shorts. Notable theatre credits include "The Last Five Years," "Suds, the Rockin' 60s Musical Soap Opera," "Angels in America" "South Pacific," "Avow," & "The Good Doctor." Coaching Bio:
My mission is to help actors set goals, organize their business, and create a plan of action with easy tools that can make them more confident in their business. I have been coaching actors for more than 7 years, and my background is shaped by the "day job" I got right out of school- 6 years in the sales/marketing depts of an advertising publisher.
In 2001 I brought my two disciplines, marketing and theater, together to help actors reach their goals in my first coaching venture. Almost immediately I discovered just how paramount business training is in the acting industry. In mid 2002 I was brought on as Communications & Member Services Director at a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting actors, and spent 3 glorious years working with actors on the community level.
Since moving to New York in 2005, I have very excited to bring my skills and insights to actors, and do so in a format that is inspiring, inexpensive and effective.
Actor: I'm idealistic, fervent, resourceful and kooky! Preferred genre: Dramedy (or coama, though that sounds like a disease...) I go deep into the heart of a character while still keeping some of the levity that makes us human.
Coach: business/career coaching for actors including goal setting, marketing materials, and audition technique; providing actors the motivation to take control of their careers.
