Eric Ward founded the Web's first link building and web promotion services, called NetPOST and URLwire, in 1994. Today Eric is regarded by many as one of the top link building experts in world. Eric offers services including content publicity and link building training, along with private consulting, to help companies learn how to generate links, publicity and online buzz for their Web content.
Eric has developed content linking strategies for PBS.org, WarnerBros, The Discovery Channel, National Geographic, The New York Times, TVGuide.com, and Weather.com.
Eric is one of the 25 online mareting experts featured in the 2008 book Online Marketing Heroes. Eric received the 1995 Tenagra Award For Internet Marketing Excellence, and in 1997 was named one of the Web's 100 most influential people by Websight magazine. Eric also writes the LinkWeek column for search industry news site SearchEngineLand.com, and has written for Web Marketing Today, ClickZ, MarketingProfs, and Ad Age Magazine. Depending on the month, Eric resides in Knoxville, Tennessee or Seagrove Beach Florida.
What I do explained in sixty seconds...For web sites offering outstanding content or experience, I create online publicity and linking strategies designed to attract and obtain impactful and relevant trusted inbound links (citations), and online publicity. I then execute those strategies by conducting a linking and publicity campaign. 2). In April 1997 Eric was named one of the Web's 100 most influential people by the print magazine "Websight". Eric was even listed ahead of Thomas "She Blinded Me With Science" Dolby...Alas, like most things from the web back then, the magazine is long gone.
