Social media and web analytics gun slinger
Greater Seattle Area
In attaining a BA and MA in German and an MBA, I took advantage of every opportunity I had for work, internships, research, and travel, and as a result, I have a variety of different work experiences that give me a well-rounded perspective on many business situations.
Currently, I am leading the charge in social media analytics and data-based decision making. With the help of resources like Omniture, TubeMogul, truPULSE, truVOICE, SM2/Techrigy, Radian6, Google Analytics, AdWords, AdSense, Blog Search, comScore, Twitter data, Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, and Forrester Research, I have been fortunate enough to plan, strategize, build, and deliver some of the most comprehensive online marketing analyses available.
Prior to my current work in new media analytics, I managed web analytics at Hilton - one of the world's largest hotel chains.
While job satisfaction, money, hard-working coworkers, and a high-expectation workplace are all important to me, I am most driven by challenge and adventure. I thrive in creative, deadline-driven environments, where I and my team can blaze new trails through uncharted areas of web data.

March 2009 — Present (9 months)
I am the go-to guy when it comes to social media analytics for large to huge multi-national corporations.
Using TubeMogul, truVOICE, truPULSE, Visible Technologies, Radian6, SM2/Techrigy, Omniture, comScore/Media Metrix, and custom-built Twitter and Facebook data mining tools, I collect data into locally-hosted and cloud-based SQL and Access databases in order to work with it within Tableau and Excel before preparing visually stunning and informative weekly, monthly, quarterly, benchmark, and ad hoc reports in PowerPoint, PDF, and web-hosted WordPress-based presentations.
I specialize in architecting new listening and monitoring programs, developing social media ROI calculations using Forrester Research, comScore, and other reports, as well as researching and creating long- and short-term influencer lists that go beyond what your PR, marketing, and creative firms miss.
On top of working hands-on with the data and presentations, I manage the capacity and workload of a team to ensure that client programs and deliverables match and exceed the initial planning and SOWs.
