I am a full-time professional photographer and entrepreneur. I have photographed many celebrity DJ's including Paul Oakenfold, Tommy Lee, and Armin Van Buuren. When I'm not photographing famous musicians, I create fine art and commercial portraits.
I am the director of the Utah Creative Freelancers Network, and a member of the waP Council of Photographers, "an elite group of professional photographers and photo editors" dedicated to helping other photographers improve their craft.
I can often be found speaking about photography, conducting photography workshops, or giving talks about photography or freelance business management.
Current Book projects:
"Wheels of Steel: DJ Portraits" - The culmination of a two-year dedication to the art of photographing DJ's at work.
"A Light for Serenity" - Fine art light-painted portraits to benefit families in medical crisis via The Serenity Foundation charity.
Business development, photography, music, marketing.

The difficult economy has forced hundreds of creative freelancers out of their cushy corporate gigs and into the freelance marketplace. As founder and director of the Utah Creative Freelance network, I recognized a growing need for an educational resource, created the website, and got the word out through my extensive network of contacts in the industry. As of this writing, the organization is 2 1/2 months old, and has over 100 members.
The purpose of the group is connect photographers and graphic designers with the knowledge and resources they need to feed their families and grow their business. The group meets monthly, and topics include career planning, marketing, money management, and dealing with business overhead.
My responsibilities include arranging speakers, meeting times and locations, communicating important information with the group, recruiting new members, and managing programs for member benefits.

My specialty is nightlife photography. I have photographed many of the top DJ's in the world, and am currently working on a book project called "Wheels of Steel: DJ Portraits".
"Wheels of Steel" refers to the turntables DJs use to control the music, and more specifically to the 1981 dance single, "The Adventures of Grand Master Flash on the Wheels of Steel". The book will be an intimate look at DJs at work.
Currently developing a website to showcase some of the photographs, along with a video blog featuring clips from the performances, and interviews with the DJ's.
