Due to my scientific roots in Cognitive Science, which brings together psychological theory (how people perceive, solve problems, learn, communicate and cooperate) with computational methods ("cognitive modelling"), I have a solid understanding of three important perspectives on software: the psychological perspective of usabilty, which focuses on the user's knowledge, goals, and work processes; the technical perspective of software development that focuses on the documentation of requirements, technical analysis, software design and implementation; and on the organisational perspective that focuses on project planning and management.
