User Experience Design
San Francisco Bay Area
I have been working with cross-functional teams developing and delivering Web-based applications in start-up, Fortune 500, non-profit and creative design environments since 1997. Understanding Web-based software development from each contributor's point of view is essential to managing successful projects. My experience has exposed me to all facets of the development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to end-user training and support.
I focus on the following areas in my client projects:
* Designing the user experience through conducting end-user interviews, performing task-based analysis, and creating mental models ...read more
* Product Development and prototyping Web-based applications using Visio/Omnigraffle, Drupal, or hand-coded HTML/CSS/PHP...read more
Regardless of the deliverable, I believe it is critical to understand the thought processes and motivations of end-users in order to understand how any system is will be used and how it is designed. I provide project leadership through clearly stated goals, tangible scopes of work documented and approved by business and technical stakeholders, and through thoughtful communication throughout the life of the project.
Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss how my expertise can contribute to your better understanding of how your users think about the problems your product is solving, or to discuss prototyping your ideas .
