Gradually, business begins to acknowledge the importance of social networks as an instrument for their knowledge management and knowledge sharing issues. However, managers are not used to managing these informal, social, collaborative working formats and their intervention is likely to impede the group and their internal processes rather than cultivating it. In other words, managers do recognise the value of Communities of Practice (CoPs) for their business but are not used to CoP management. Therefore, managers need a different management style to guide CoPs.
In this research the following question was analysed: How can business managers of LogicaCMG effectively deploy and manage Communities of Practice while avoiding the management paradox? The graduation project resulted in a NEW APPROACH ON COP MANAGEMENT. The innovative work on Communities of Practice and appropriate management interference was rewarded with an 8.5.

One of the most promising opportunities was called Mobile Skype which is a Voice-Over-Ip software solution for mobile use.
