Over 28 years of experience in the VLSI Design Automation field primarily focused on mixed-signal design environments. Would be interested in networking opportunities with companies/individuals that are developing deep submicron process technologies or EDA tool vendors focused on deep submicron/mixed-signal design issues. I have extensive experience porting open source EDA tools to Mac OS-X and various Linux platforms. Broad exposure to operating systems (Mac OS-X, Fedora 10 Linux, Ubuntu 8.4, Solaris 10, Windows XP) and software development using C, C++, Objective-C, Java, Qt, and some TCL/TK. Recently became a registered iPhone developer.
Embedded Java multimedia applications are also of interest especially those which use QuickTime, MPEG-4, OpenAL, and advanced 3D modeling/rendering technologies. Java technologies of interest include J2SE, J2ME, Java3D, JINI, JMF, Android, & JavaFX. Using Xcode, Eclipse, and Netbeans for Java development projects. Also develop virtual world content for Second Life and OpenSim.
Semiconductor:
Design methodology, EDA tool integration, UNIX development & support, Labview development, Semiconductor foundry procurement, device modeling, process characterization. FPGA design (Xilinx)
3D Multimedia:
Virtual world design, Java3D, 3D modeling, video/MPEG-4, audio production (Logic Pro), and Quicktime video streaming. Embedded Java solutions using processors from aJile Systems and Imsys Technologies.

Sr. Engineer responsible for device/process modeling, process characterization, standard cell development, and CMOS design methodologies. Using BSIM Pro for semiconductor device modeling and Cadence VSDE/VCME for timing characterization. Also using the Coventor SEMulator3D tools for device structure and standard cell analysis. Currently engaged in RCX/QRC correlation activities using parasitic extraction structures and various circuits for digital performance analysis. Member of the Circuit Technology Development Group which is responsible for new ink jet print head designs (Lexmark Consumer Products division).
VLSI EDA, FPGA design, broadband multimedia technologies, MPEG-4, Java, 3D modeling/rendering, guitar, MIDI, back-packing, bass fishing, fly fishing, hang gliding, jet-skiing, canoeing and kayaking.
