The Entrepreneurial MD, owned by me, Philippa Kennealy MD MPH CPCC PCC, provides business coaching and resources to physicians who are seeking to thrive as entrepreneurs and business owners. This is accomplished through coaching one-on-one or in groups, as well as via the free services, educational programs and self-coaching products available at The Entrepreneurial MD (http://www.entrepreneurialMD.com).

I am an ICF-certified coach (PCC).

I have been an excited and committed entrepreneur since starting my first coaching business, Oya Consulting, in 2001. I formed The Entrepreneurial MD in 2006. In fact, I consider entrepreneurship to be an act of radical creativity for physicians.

I also coach physicians who are considering a career change or who are seeking excellent leadership skills for executive positions.

I was previously in a group private medical practice in Santa Monica CA for nine years as a family physician.

I then moved on to become first Medical Director and then Hospital CEO at UCLA-Santa Monica Medical Center.

And I was an Internet start-up executive for a now "dot-com bust" health and wellness company.

I am passionate about helping physicians with the transformation into solid businessperson as I believe that entrepreneurship is a radical act of creativity - it offers physicians and other healthcare professionals the opportunity to experience the innovative, creative, self-generated thinking and actions that are sadly lacking in much of the current practice and administration of healthcare.
