December 2000 — April 2002 (1 year 5 months)
I was a Senior Partner responsible for helping organizations transform their sales organizations from transactional to strategic.
I helped companies such as OppenheimerFunds, Reuters, MorganStanley, Cisco Systems, and Active Software identify gaps in their sales effectiveness, and then helped them build sales systems and change management programs to win large sales opportunities. Within 2 years, my clients closed an additional $83M in new business using our sales planning methodologies.
It was a wild ride. I learned alot! But I was a lousy employee within a $1.2B company. So I fired myself and launched my own company. One of the best career moves I ever made.

May 1998 — December 2000 (2 years 8 months)
Responsible for developing a new client portfolio in the Western USA for OnTarget's sales strategy and planning methodologies. Built a client base to $1.5M within two years. Advised clients on ways to develop strategic sales teams and processes.
I was also trained and certified to lead teams in the Enterprise Selling Process and Target Account Selling processes. Our company was then sold to Siebel Systems (now Oracle Corporation).
If I had to pick my favorite "J.O.B." of all time, this was it.
(Other than running my own firm, of course). Our founder was a genius and let people shine.
