Area Manager at Purple Scout AB
Malmö Area, Sweden
Manager with a background in Software Engineering and as an author.
I started my professional experience with my own company creating small software projects and writing articles for a Swedish computer magazine called Datormagazin on the topics programming, open source and Linux.
After a couple of years it became more serious when my company (one man show) was hired to create a prototype for a brand new product for Purple Scout (back then a newly formed company). I created the initial prototype and it went well so after a couple of months I was hired as a full-time software developer for Purple Scout and moved to Malmö.
A year and a half later I got the title CTO and with that the responsibility for the company product portfolio and technical news coverage. I combined the tasks of software development consultant and CTO for almost a year.
In the beginning of 2007 Purple Scout performed a vast re-organization of the Malmö office and I started working full-time as CTO and group manager for one of three groups in the new organization.
As a result of our rapid expansion we had to once again change the organization in August 2007 and in this re-organization I got full responsibility for the Malmö branch office and left the responsibilities of the CTO behind.
