Freelance web developer & Information Architect
Malmö Area, Sweden
Web developer/designer from southern Sweden, currently based in Malmö, interested primarily in standards based front end development, but also the entire spectrum of areas concerning the web and information technology, and how to make it usable, accessible, findable, smart and beautiful.
I'm also a student at Malmö University, studying Information Architecture (3 year program, resulting in a Bachelor degree in Computer Science with specialization in Information Architecture. Now that's a mouthful!). I also work at the university as a tutor/teaching assistant, currently in courses on basic web development and the basics of information technology.
A few of my current goals, apart from completing my degree:
- Deepening my knowledge of back-end programming, for example using frameworks for rapid application development (primarily Django, a python based framework).
- Broadening my experience in general system architecture and development practices.
- Exploring the relations between information design, graphic design and the user experience.
- Gaining a better insight into the problems and solutions in making information technology accessible, in a wide sense of the word.
HTML structure & semantics, CSS design, usability, accessibility, web standards, interaction design, Django framework.

I did a 10-week summer internship at Clearleft Ltd in Brighton during the summer of 2008. Clearleft is one of the worlds most respected and well-known user experience agencies, and its employees are frequently hired as speakers at conferences world wide. They have also published a number of books on subjects such as web accessibility, blog design, CSS and AJAX.
The internship so far includes taking part in the creative process at the agency and working on a couple of internal projects (front- and back-end coding, visual design, some information architecture) as well as writing test scripts for and testing Clearlefts own guerilla usability testing application for the mac, Silverback.
