    Scope and Terms of Reference for Technical Committees Records Management

    Scope

    Standardization of practices relating to libraries, documentation and information centres, publishing, archives, records management, museum documentation, indexing and abstracting services, and information science.

    Terms of Reference for Technical Committees

    1. Technical Committees shall be appointed by the Division Council or if necessary, by the Executive

    Committee for the preparation of a particular standard or group of standards. The Technical Committee shall be constituted of representatives of such interests as in the opinion of the Division

    Council or Executive Committee is concerned with the standards referred to the Committee. All interests shall be adequately represented in the Committee.

    2. Chairmen of Technical Committees shall be appointed by the Division Council/Executive Committee.

    3. A Technical Committee shall be empowered to co-opt additional members of in its opinion, such co-option will make the Committee more fully representative of the interests concerned with it, provided that the Committee representation remains balanced.

    4. A Technical Committee may appoint Sub-Committees and Panels from among its own members and others and may invite interests to nominate representatives on such Sub-Committees and Panels.

    5. Sub-Committees and Panels may co-opt additional members who, by reason of specific attainments, are qualified to assist them in the task allotted to them.

  • UNESCO Public Awareness for Electronic Governance Campaign

    • October 2006 to Present

    Developed public education content related to Public Awareness for eGovernance at the Information Society of Barbados (ISB) Conference and Exhibition.

    The theme of the conference was “ICT Transforming Society” and the conference targeted “senior executives in the private and public sector, ICT professionals and consultants in Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, the OECS and Guyana.”

    My engagement as a Junior Consultant, was under the Public Awareness for eGovernance campaign, and was intended primarily to assist CARICAD with the preparation and mounting of a display to showcase work done in eGovernance by CARICAD, the promotion of the Caribbean Centre of Excellence for eGovernance (CCEEG), as well as to illustrate the many benefits and possibilities of eGovernance within the Caribbean Region.
